NeuteringCats Protection supports the neutering of cats in order to reduce the number of strays and unwanted cats. A female cat can have 6 kittens, 3 times a year. A single 5 year old female can therefore be responsible for some 20,000 descendents. A neutered male should refrain from spraying an unpleasant smell about the house, is less likely to wander or to fight. What's Involved? Both male and female cats can be neutered from 6 months onward. In the case of a male cat it is normally a one trip simple operation. In the case of female cats a second trip is required to remove the stitches. What if I cannot afford it?
Cats Protection may offer financial help in the form of vouchers towards the neutering costs for people on low income or in financial difficulties.
